Magi-Nation: Keeper's Quest is a Role-Playing and Puzzle game for the Game Boy Color. Originally scheduled for release in December 2001 by Interactive Imagination, the cancelled GBC version never officially shipped; the game was instead later released for PDA systems and cell phones (October 2003, under UIEvolution). This release is a fangame adapted from the original game ROM so it can finally be played on Game Boy Color hardware, in English.
Story: Keeper's Quest continues the gameplay style of Interactive Imagination's earlier GBC RPG, Magi-Nation. It follows Salafy, a young Magi Trainer with ambitions of grandeur. To become the Keeper of the Vash region she must complete the Keeper's Trials and prove her worth. She is aided by familiar faces such as Yaki and Eidon, the Keeper of Naroom. The world of Magi-Nation, known as the Moonlands, is divided into five distinctive regions protected by the Magi, each containing Trials set up by the ancient Magi to select the head Magi, or Keeper, of that region. Dangers like Dream Creatures and Core Magi lurk throughout the land.
Gameplay: The five regions of the Moonlands each contain four Trials that Salafy must surpass on her way to attaining Keeper status. It keeps the previous installment's RPG format and supplements it with a healthy mix of puzzles.
