Yu-Gi-Oh! Monster Capsule GB (released internationally as Yu-Gi-Oh! Capsule Monsters) is a strategy / board-battle game based on the Yu-Gi-Oh! franchise, originally developed by Konami for Game Boy Color. This cartridge runs a full English fan-translation of the otherwise Japan-only title.
Story: Seto Kaiba possesses the Millennium Ring and is captured by its power. His mind shattered after losing to Dark Yugi at "Death-T", Kaiba invites Yugi Muto and his friends to "Duel Tower". There he uses the ring to trap the souls of Katsuya Jonouchi, Anzu Mazaki, Hiroto Honda, Bakura Ryou and Sugoroku Muto. To rescue his friends and grandfather, Yugi must defeat Kaiba and his minions, the Dark Masters, in the "Monster Tournament" using "Monster Capsules".
Gameplay: Players collect Monster Capsules and deploy their monsters on a grid-based battlefield, moving and clashing pieces in turn-based, chess-like tactical duels against a series of opponents.
This is a reproduction cartridge featuring the English translation patch, playable on Game Boy Color (and Game Boy hardware).
