Kaznapped! The Puffy AmiYumi Platformer for Game Boy Advance

Few cartoons began as a pop duo's visit to America. Puffy AmiYumi are Ami Ōnuki and Yumi Yoshimura, a Japanese pop-rock pair from Tokyo, and their appearance on US television came through Hi Hi Puffy AmiYumi, a Cartoon Network series created by Sam Register that premiered on 19 November 2004 and ran three seasons.

Hi Hi Puffy AmiYumi: Kaznapped! was the series' Game Boy Advance outing, developed by Altron and published by D3Publisher of America. The listing for the game dates it to 2005.

The story

After a world tour, Ami and Yumi take a short break. Their manager Kaz is hypnotised and kidnapped by the scheming Harmony, who also leaves the duo stranded on a giant lollipop. Their pet cats, Jang Keng and Tekirai, free them, and the two set out to get Kaz back.

The game plays as a straightforward cartoon platformer across themed stages, with the show's oddball enemies and bosses standing in the way.
