Pokemon Gold 97: Reforged Edition is a fan-made restoration that recreates the legendary unreleased "Spaceworld 1997" demo of Pokemon Gold and Silver for Game Boy Color. It revives the cancelled beta version of Johto, complete with the early-1997 sprite designs, scrapped Pokemon concepts, and the original prototype map layouts that never made it into the final retail release.
Story: A year after the events in Kanto, you set out on a brand-new adventure across an alternate, reimagined Johto region. Choose your starter and explore towns, routes and dungeons as they were envisioned in the long-lost 1997 build.
Gameplay: Classic top-down Pokemon RPG action with turn-based battles, capturing and training, and the familiar gym progression, all reconstructed from the famous beta leak. This reproduction cartridge is playable in Spanish ("Super Oro 97") and in English ("Gold 97 Reforged").
