Pokemon Brown is a fan-made ROM hack of Pokemon Red/Blue, originally created in 2004 by the legendary Koolboyman. This is the 20th Anniversary Edition (version 6.1.2). The game is in English.
Story: The adventure takes place in a brand-new region called Rijon, located south of Johto. The first 151 Pokemon in the Pokedex match those of Kanto, while the roster has been greatly expanded to include over 220 Pokemon drawn from Generations I-IV (plus one from Gen VI), along with new types and new evolutions.
Gameplay: Explore the vast Rijon region with overhauled maps, new characters and expanded storylines. The 20th Anniversary update adds modern mechanics such as the physical/special split, critical captures, switch between two trainers, updated stat calculations and a post-game quest. The TM/HM set has been reworked with 50 TMs and four HMs, plus new moves and new music tracks including tunes from Johto. Pokemon Prism integration adds even more depth, and full link support lets you battle or trade with friends.
The game runs in Game Boy mode (black & white), Game Boy Color mode (brown palette by default) and Super Game Boy mode (limited colors). A homebrew fan-made reproduction cartridge.
