Misfortune is an obscure creepypasta game for the original Game Boy. Almost all known information about it comes from personal accounts and a scant collection of screenshots scattered across creepypasta websites. The game contains no credits, and whoever created it has never been identified. The few people who claim to have experienced it consider it one of the scariest video games ever made.
When you insert the cartridge, it appears to be a normal Pokemon game: you start in your room. But if you interact with the character's personal computer 20 times, ignoring the repeated "It's broken" message, you cross over into the world of Misfortune.gb. After that, little more can be said.
